Introducing Thanatea!

A string of seemingly unrelated events appear to have led to a fun and quite light new project for myself and my Puppeteer.

It was most noticably catalysed by the approach of a curious shopper in BareRose, while some of those closest to me accompanied me on a much-needed shopping trip. A fairly newly-cut resident to our Grid asked me where I got my shape, which always flatters me. She did ask if she could have a copy, not quite understanding of the individuality some of us feel in our forms; there is no way I would ever part with my shape to any other Puppeteer of course, but the gesture did give me ideas nevertheless. This combined with my enjoyment of fashion spreads, as well as a continued frustration with the way mesh skirts never fit my frame reminded me of just how many outfits do not fit me. Despite my pride in who I am and the fact I never want to change that shape, part of me has longed to be sleek and slim. I may just have fancied the change.

Luckily I happen to have a sister. Her name is Thanatea, and a few months ago she ventured out into the World of Warcraft in my place. Thanatea grew from a dark and frumpy reflection of me, not cared for at all (unless a dependence on her for backups counts), into an elegant and wide-eyed blood elf of the Horde. Sadly Thanatea is a lone dolly, not able to play with her penpals in the American servers, but she grew to the extent that I formed an Avatars United page for her.

Now though, she's emerged back into Second Life, and the time came for her dolly shell to truly reflect who she is. My Puppeteer turned doll maker once more, for only the third time in my entire life:
